Flight of Fancy Heirloom Silk Scarf
Every heirloom begins with a story.
Introducing our Heirloom Silk Scarf — an enchanting new way to wear the stories of Market of Stars. Crafted from 100% silk charmeuse, each scarf transforms our signature artwork into a luminous square of pure luxury, where every colour, brushstroke, flower, and tiny detail seems to glow and come alive in the fabric’s beautiful sheen. Each scarf is finished with our Market of Stars signature logo in the corner and features carefully hand-rolled edges — a traditional finishing detail that gives every piece it’s own special touch. The keepsake size of the Heirloom was designed to be wonderfully versatile: tie it at your neck with a favourite duster or dress, tuck it in to the collar of a jacket or knit, wear it in your hair or as a headscarf, wrap it around your wrist, or knot it onto a beloved bag. There are a hundred ways to make it your own — and we suspect you’ll discover a few we haven’t thought of yet ;) The Heirloom was created to collect, to carry with you, and to keep. The kind of piece that gathers more stories as the years go by — and might someday find its way into someone else’s hands, carrying a little of you with it.
Wear it well, love it dearly, pass it on.
About the Print:
What we can dream, we can do — against all odds!
Hummingbirds are tiny beings of wonder. Weighing less than a nickel, they are the only bird that can fly backwards as well as forwards, and have the largest hearts relative to body size in the entire animal world. Symbols of hope, healing, and luck, hummingbirds are also sometimes said to represent well-wishings from loved ones — both here and departed. A flock of hummingbirds is called a glitter or a shimmer — or a bouquet! The bouquet in our exuberant print was created using a collage of breathtakingly beautiful floral paintings from the 1700’s. It includes several works by artist Rachel Ruysch, who is considered by historians to be one of the most talented still-life artists of all time, and who was the first ever female member inducted into The Hague's prestigious painter's society.
100% silk charmeuse. Store it flat and untied. Dry clean when needed.
Approximately 65cm x 65cm (25.5” square)
