Love Grows Wild Bohéme Slip Dress
Sometimes — while oftentimes actually if we’re being honest — we design a piece for the purely selfish reason that we want to wear it ourselves ;)
The Love Grows Wild dress was definitely one of these pieces!
Our lush and verdant botanical print comes from the “12 Months of Flowers”, a series of remarkably beautiful hand-coloured etchings from the 1700s by engraver Henry Fletcher. The prints were commissioned by famed English gardener Robert Furber, and were published as a catalogue of flowers and seeds according to season. We chose the Fletcher’s print from the month of March for its delightfully detailed blooms, and then layered the flowers together to create a wild and wonderful print that captures the exuberance of the garden. The charming bumblebee trim comes from a museum seed catalogue from the late 1800’s. We are so excited to wear this print! It’s such a joyful and abundant design that goes with almost every colour. Sometimes more is more — more flowers, more love, more everything :)
The adjustable straps, oversized cut, and soft, flowy bamboo viscose make our Bohéme dresses a wardrobe staple for layering, running errands, dancing, lounging or napping — and they’re also a must-have for travel, wherever you roam. You can also wear this piece two ways, with the bumblebee on the front of the bodice, or the back — depending on your mood.
Please note: The nature of our soft bamboo/wood viscose means it’s slightly sheer, so we recommend layering it with our Étoile slip (or any other slip you have) when wearing it with bare legs. Our model in the photos is wearing the dress without a slip. Shown worn with our Love Grows Wild Opera Duster (sold separately).
100% viscose (derived from plant fibres such as bamboo and wood). Machine wash gentle or handwash and hang to dry. Iron to finish if needed.
Adjustable straps. Dress measurements: S/M — length 132cm at shortest strap adjustment, 142cm at longest. Width 52cm (across bust, underarm to underarm), 54cm (across waist seam). L/XL — 134 cm length at shortest strap adjustment, 144cm at longest. Width 57cm (across bust, underarm to underarm), 59 cm (across waist seam).
Models information for reference: Djuna, our radiant redhead is 5’5” and wears a S/M. Tehani, our beautiful brunette, is 5’5” and wears a size L/XL.
