Our effortlessly cool new Artist Pants are made from a custom-woven, breathable blend of linen and bamboo/wood viscose, and feature a drawstring front, elastic waist panel, pockets, cropped length, and a flattering lantern hem design. They pair perfectly with everything and add an artsy vibe to your wardrobe— dress them up with a silk tank & blazer, or down with a jean jacket and boots— either way, expect compliments ;)

About the print:

Joyful flowers, whimsical declarations of the heart, and unapologetic hope — this is our love language! The amazing artwork used for this piece was hand-drawn in Pennsylvania in 1854, and was originally created as a backdrop for a perfume and botanical extract display. We reworked the images and added our own touches — including the heart-in-hand (the symbol for kindness and charity), and messages in historic fonts (“Love one another”) to complement the original hand-lettering. The result is a true original: romantic, bohemian, and super cool.

55% linen, 45% bamboo/wood viscose. Handwash (or machine wash gentle cycle) and hang to dry. Iron to finish if needed.

These Artist Pants are available in two size-runs. The Original O/S will fit approximately size 4/10 and the L/XL will fit approximately size 12/16. We take all our measurements on a garment lying flat. So the circumference would be roughly double the listed number. See sizing diagram in photos for approximate measurements. Model is 5'7" for reference and is wearing the Original O/S.

We love these paired with a jean jacket & canvas sneakers, or levelled up with a white button-front shirt and a chic sandal. In 1800’s and early 1900’s before the era of screens, advertisers needed their print ads and store displays to be as eye catching and visually captivating as possible to grab the viewer’s attention. Posters, magazine prints ads, and in-store backdrops during the Victorian period were often riotous, colourful, and packed with lush visuals. The more flourishes the better! We absolutely love working with these antique art pieces… they still manage to capture the imagination, even hundreds of years later.
