Introducing Heart of Gold — our beautiful & dramatic new collection that celebrates the bonds in our lives that endure — love, truth, and loyal friends! Designed using an intricate collage of antique artwork, it features hand-painted swallows from an 1865 scrapbook, floral wreaths by artist Karel Batist done in the 1600s, and a very special sacred heart from Notre Dame in France, which was embroidered with gilded thread and completed in 1872. This print is rich in history, but also in meaning.  The two swallows with wings outstretched (traditional symbols of loyalty) carry a ribbon between them as a reminder that even across distances, those we love will always be a part of us. The vintage banner, pulled from a Victorian-era painted sign, proudly displays the motto “friendship, love, and truth”: a simple but significant declaration of what truly matters — the threads that tie us to each other, the loyalty that stands the test of time, and the love that makes it all worth it.

100% viscose (derived from plant fibres such as wood and bamboo). Machine wash gentle or handwash and hang to dry. Iron to finish if needed.

Swallows have long carried meaning across cultures, but they hold a particularly tender place in maritime lore. In the early 1900s, sailors would often tattoo a single swallow on their shoulder before setting off to sea — a quiet promise to themselves that they would one day return. Upon arriving home safely, they’d add a second swallow, facing the first — a symbol of a completed journey and a heart that found its way back.

Because swallows always return to the same place to nest, they became emblems of loyalty, safe passage, and homecoming. To wear a swallow was to carry a token of hope: that no matter how far you roam, the ones you love will be waiting, and love will always lead you home.

Well to start with, the packaging is beautiful and exciting!
Inside I found my duster carefully folded and wrapped with a delicate hand! The material is soft but not flimsy or heavy The colours have the appearance of ageing but not sun faded!! I love boho and this garment has taken front centre in my closet!! I highly recommend shopping the site as they are professional and caring I definitely will be ordering again💜. Thank you so much!
