Fable Bohéme Slip Dress
We are the heroes of our own story… so make yours exquisite! This captivating print is a blend of the classic and the fanciful (just like all good stories), and was created using artwork spanning more than three centuries. We layered two stunning 18th century ink-on-silk hanging scrolls from Japan painted with wild plum blossoms, peach trees, magpies, and a luminous moon to create this design, then added other whimsical elements — including Flemish antique illustrations of wild deer, birds, and cranes. The printed trim comes from French silk embroidery fragments from the early 1800’s, and the charming pattern on the bodice is a replica of block-printed French paper from the same era. The result is chic, romantic and timeless — and tells a beautiful tale without saying a word ;)
The adjustable straps, oversized cut, and soft, flowy bamboo viscose make our Bohéme dresses a wardrobe staple for layering, running errands, dancing, lounging or napping — and they’re also a must-have for travel, wherever you roam. You can also wear it two ways, with the moon on the front of the bodice, or the back — depending on your mood.
Please note: The nature of our soft bamboo/wood viscose means it’s slightly sheer, so we recommend layering it with our Étoile slip (or any other slip you have) when wearing it with bare legs. Our models in the photos are wearing the dresses without a slip.
100% viscose (derived from plant fibres such as wood and bamboo). Machine wash gentle or handwash and hang to dry. Iron to finish if needed.
Adjustable straps. Dress measurements: S/M — length 132cm at shortest strap adjustment, 142cm at longest. Width 52cm (across bust, underarm to underarm), 54cm (across waist seam). L/XL — 134 cm length at shortest strap adjustment, 144cm at longest. Width 57cm (across bust, underarm to underarm), 59 cm (across waist seam).
Both models are 5’5 and wear S/M for reference.

Like all of our Bohéme slip dresses, this one is reversible! Pair the luminous moon side with a soft cashmere wrap for evening garden parties, or flip it around to showcase the charming block-printed pattern and add a distressed denim jacket for brunch al fresco. For warm-weather adventures, it’s lovely on its own, but we also adore it layered with a breezy button-down tied at the waist. Finish with oversized sunnies and a woven market tote for a carefree vibe :) And for those moments when you’re ready to make an entrance, cinch it up with a vintage belt and pair it with the matching Opera Duster for a dramatic, artsy outfit — it will look (and feel) like you’ve just stepped out of a fairytale.

The Enchantress, the storyteller. Women who blend reality with touches of magic and imagination, who embellish their lives with beauty. Women who tell tales to the moon.

Our Fable design is filled with secret symbols — like little pieces of a story waiting to be discovered! In Japanese art, willows and peach trees are often seen as a pair of lovers, their branches entwined as though caught in an eternal dance. Hidden among them are magpies, believed to bring good fortune, love, and even divine messages. The glowing moon, watching over it all, has long been a symbol of mystery, intuition, and transformation. Cranes, with their graceful forms, represent messengers of longevity and happiness— and are said in folklore to live for a thousand years. And deer have long been symbols of peace and gentleness, associated with their ability to navigate between worlds, from forest to meadow to myth.
